Would it be rude?

So no one has really gotten anything off of my baby registry.  I think there are like 4 things purchased. But people that say they are going keep texting me saying how much stuff they got the baby and how they can't wait to show me. It's kinda annoying that I put a registry together and no one goes off of it. So would it be rude to return stuff that I dont want for the stuff I need? Like clothes people keep telling me how they got my baby so much clothes but in my registry it sez we don't need anymore clothes.

Yes, it's okay to return gifts you receive that you don't want or need. Don't make a big deal out of it. When someone gives you a gift smile and genuinely thank them, then quietly return it later.

Not rude at all my cousin returned over $400 worth of things she did not need or got doubles and triples of and bought the things  she needed instead...I hate when people don’t go off your registry either but it happens...do what you need to do mama

Definitely not rude. This is exactly the reason why I did a gender reveal at my shower; because I did not want clothes! Lol worked like a charm.

Just because they didn't buy it from your registry doesn't mean they didn't get that exact thing elsewhere

With my daughter, people bought stuff off the registry but didn't do it online so it didn't tell me. This is why I got two of some items lol. That could be the case. But it's not rude! In fact a lot of people do it especially if they get double items.

No one bought off my registry (NEVER making one again) but I 100% used what I got. Clothes, diapers, wipes, bibs, socks, hats, swing, bottles, pacifiers, and a high chair.I had a ton of clothes ‘for the first year’ and it only lasted until he was 7-8 months. && He was in 12&18 month clothes at 10 months. He was big. Sooooo my ‘2 years worth of clothes’ (closet full, dresser and bins full) lasted about 14 months ? 🤨 He used all of it too.. I never returned stuff except the changing table cause I didn’t want or need it. And crib. Exchanged them for a pack n play instead. And a second & third high chair for the grandparents 
So.... Personally I think it’s a little rude BUT you do what you want, your kid 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now IF you ended up with double outfits then yeah exchange. 🤷🏻‍♀️
