Hirsutism - let's talk. I know I'm not alone.

Ladies, who here has a beard? If you have one or two long chin hairs you tweeze every few weeks put your hand down. This ain't your post. Let me ask again: ladies, who here shaves their face more than their husband? Who here has ever skipped a day and felt like Fred Flintstone? Like there's a spotlight on your chin and every single person you encounter is looking at the shadow that refuses to fade regardless of how closely you drag the razor or how much coconut oil you used? (I've discovered it works way better than anything else but watch out. It'll clog up a drain in a hot second)

This post is for you. For me. It's for all the women out there who have watched "To Wong Foo" and felt actual jealousy because Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo had smoother jawlines than you.

Let's talk!

How do you manage it? Do you ever get comments or questions? Do you know your specific causes for it? Tell me EVERY detail. I am 33 years old and i have had this issue for about 15 years. It started with fine blonde hair on my neck that was just a little too long. Then a scrape on my chin led to a few black hairs. Over the next decade those few black hairs spread like a fungus and now i even have to go up my cheeks. I know I'm not alone but i definitely feel alone sometimes. I just want some REAL talk and real feelings instead of the endless cycle of repetitive info and studies. And yes i know about the chick with the beard who is Sikh and has managed to turn her hair into a statement about body positivity. I think she's amazing and i am glad she's comfortable. I am not that girl. I don't have that kind of self esteem. I just want to share experiences with other women who get it.
