When did you start letting your LO sleep on their tummy?

My daughter just urned 7 months today and over the last month I noticed she likes to sleep on her side but more and more is moving over to her tummy. Is it safe to let her sleep in the crib like that? If so are there any precautions I should take???

Our daughter became a belly sleeper at 3 months when she could roll onto her tummy on her own. And no, there are no "precautions" to take aside from the basic safe sleep recommendations: firm, flat surface, no blankets, no bumpers of any kind (mesh or not).

Once they can get there on their own it’s fine to let them stay like that. You should continue to put baby on their back. My daughter has been sleeping on her belly since she learned how to roll at 4 months.

My son started sleeping on his tummy at about 7 months. He will not sleep on his back anymore. As long as there's nothing in the crib, blankets, pillows, animals, bumpers, there's nothing you need to do differently.

My LO does during days and is 5weeks. She rolls herself there so during days let her, nights we put a small blanket so she can’t roll

If she can roll herself there it’s safe.

If she can roll over on her own then she can sleep on her tummy. I always start my LO out on her back and if she rolls to her tummy or side I’ll leave her be. Just make sure she doesn’t have toys or blankets in her crib.
