CM—I don’t have much?

So I have started trying to check my Cervical mucus, but I am the owner of a very dry vagina. We’re talking “would-never-dream-of-having-sex-or-masturbating-without-lube” dry. I pretty much always have been dry, to the point of slight discomfort, with the exception of the second month I was on nuva ring it was the right amount of moist for comfort. So with being super dry, how do I test my CM? I also have short fingers so I usually can’t reach my cervix. Any ideas?
