What do people wear during labour?

I’m thinking I want to get something that’s not the hospital gown!

A lot of hospitals require you to wear their gown during labor so they have access if an emergency arises.   If you can bring your own, make sure it is open in the back and obviously the bottom, and make sure it comes down or opens in the front for immediate skin to skin.  Also don't spend a ton of money on it because it will most likely get ruined with blood and other fluids

Hospital gown. My baby pooped on the gown immediately after birth, so I'm not getting anything pretty.

I was naked during labor and I'm normally really shy about that kind of thing 😆 My in-hospital labor time was extremely short though. I had the baby within 15min of settling into the room. It gets so hot during labor. I wore the supplied hospital gown afterwards.

At my hospital you have to be in a gown during the laboring process because the doctors have to be able to constantly check you, also if you have to have an emergency csection then it's going to take time removing your clothes.

Usually loose clothes or a nightie. I’m probably going to wear a plain comfortable nightie. It should ideally be something that you can pull down or open up for feeding. A lot of people don’t wear anything which is probably the best option if you’re comfortable x

I wear moo moos or old lady long gown preferably dark in color just in case blood gets on it

I mean you can always buy your own hospital gown. Some times even a nightgown is acceptable just depends on the hospital but more than likely you will have to wear what they provide.

I would just wear a gown or nightie. Something that's open at the bottom in case your water breaks and also because you will be getting checked for dilation.
