Midwife or OB?

Yea I’m sorry but what’s the difference between a midwife and your regular obgyn? Do people go to both? Do they go to either or? What’s better in your preference..

For my son and for this pregnancy I am seeing a midwife who works in a hospital. I feel safer being at a hospital god forbid something went wrong I’m already there and don’t have to call an ambulance like I would have to at home or a birth center. I personally prefer a midwife, I like the hands off approach, letting my body do its thing, and the very low intervention rate. It’s just going to depend on what you want your birth experience to be.

I had a team of midwives that worked in a hospital and were very open to options. A midwife labored with me and delivered my kid but I had to have pitocin when my water broke and no contractions started and then opted for an epidural and they were very accommodating.

I’ve heard horror stories about midwives, especially if you have complications. I prefer my MFM doctor.

I personally want a ob . Midwife do thing totally different . I have to see a midwife now do to my ob doc being  full. And I hate her .
