Easy labor and delivery! Chloe’s Birth Story!

Jess

She is here and she is perfect!

Chloe Jane was born on 2/20/2019 at 6pm after 11 hours of labor! This is my third baby and easiest birth by far! I went in at 7am for induction. Started at 1cm and 50% and had the foley done. This came out 2 hours later and I was at a 3. Around 11am the contractions were just getting uncomfortable and by coincidence the anesthesiologist was on the floor giving another epidural so I went ahead and had mine done as well. It was not painful and perfectly done! I felt nothing after that! Doc came in and broke my water around 1pm and then we waited. I chatted with my Mamaw (who, along with my husband, was there with me for the birth) and then around 5:30 I felt her move down and got that urge to push. Nurse called doctor in and they set up and I pushed a few times and she was out!

We did delayed cord clamping and immediate skin to skin, she laid on me for a few hours and nursed immediately! Just an overall wonderful birth experience that I wouldn’t change for anything!

8lbs 1oz - 19.5 inches long at birth 🥰 weight dipped to 7lbs 10oz before leaving hospital and is now back to 8lbs 4oz after 1 week check.

We are a little over a week old now and have been dealing with jaundice; but her levels are coming down. Still breastfeeding although we had to supplement for the jaundice. I am confident we will get back to 100% breastfeeding soon!
