When did you install the carseat?

Just a word of advice, I only installed the base around 36 weeks and kept the actual carseat out of the car. Otherwise, should you get into a car accident, you would have to replace the entire car seat, instead of the base alone.

We were going to install the seat at 33 weeks, luckily we didn’t because the next morning I wrecked and totaled the car. So we didn’t install until the day I was induced.

Didn’t even put it into the car until after baby was born.  We didn’t bring it to the hospital. My husband was planning on making a trip home anyways after baby was born so he just brought it then.

I don’t install car seats or bases until the day I’m released from the hospital. Not worth the wasted money and having to buy a new one last minute if we get into an accident! My
Husband just installs it in the hospital parking lot while im signing discharge papers and then by time they wheel me down he is at the front door with the car.

I know this doesn’t answer the question but most fire departments will install it free to make sure it’s secure and correctly installed.

Maybe install the base between 34-36 weeks and keep the car seat with your hospital bag. It’s best to be prepared Incase baby comes early.

We installed at 36weeks. Base only tho. Car seat will not go in the car until the day baby is coming home. Don’t want to risk the chance of a car accident and having to replace everything
