How judgmental are you?

Question

I’m new to the gym and I’m not “huge” but I am also not “small” in my opinion. I go to planet fitness because I’m new to the gym scene and it’s “judgement free” but whenever I go I wonder how many people are actually “judgement free.” Do you judge a bigger person when they are at the gym? And if you do, why do you? Not trying to shame anyone I am just curious if people are actually judgement free at gyms as it so claims.

You can't stop the judgemental people from judging. You just can't. Even in a "judgement free" zone. But so what?
Don't let them bother you. Only you can allow them to ruin your day. Most of the people at the gym aren't even paying attention to you. They are worried about themselves. The judgemental people are the ones that in actuality have no self esteem and need to feel better about everyone around them by putting them down. 
You are doing great. At least you are taking care of your body and trying to get healthier.

I judge people who judge me. Like if I’m minding my own business and doing my workouts and someone decides to give me dirty looks or keeps side eyeing me, I’m gonna stare at them and judge the crap out of them until they leave or start minding their own business. I’m lean and fit, so it happens a lot when super insecure women decide that I’m apparently only seeking attention while at the gym 🤦🏻‍♀️

I work at a gym and really the most common reason (that I know of) people get judged is because they just sit on their phones while being on machines and waist time...it doesn't have anything to do with size of person.

I’m too shy at the gym to be paying attention to others. I just focus on what I have to do and gtfo lol.

I wondered the same thing when I first started going to the gym. After a few weeks I got over it and it doesn't cross my mind anymore. I agree that most people seem very focused on what they are doing and I'm sure they barely notice who ells is there.

I don’t think about anyone at myself at the gym. We are all there for the same reason so people need to focus on themselves!

I don't judge people at the gym mainly because I don't care enough to judge them.  My only focus is getting done with my workout as soon as possible so I can go home.  If someone's focus at the gym is being critical of the person next to them, they need to reevaluate their way of thinking.

If I happen to take notice (which I’m usually more focused on not looking at anybody because I’m quite introverted myself), all I think is “good, I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t look like they come here for 6 hours a day” since I’m not exactly skinny or fit myself.
