How does contraction feel like ?

This might sound silly but I'm 35+4 and I feel huge ! I don't think I'm gonna make it all the way to 40 weeks ! Sometimes I feel like pain on the lower part and I've been told it could be HB ! But since it's my first I don't know what I should feel ? How doest feel to have a contraction ? What are the signs that the baby is coming ?

I can tell real contractions from BH's because they will usually start in my back or hips and wrap around to the front and squeeze. They don't necessarily hurt at the beginning, but they definitely get more intense. My BH's are just usually my stomach tightening and there's no rhyme or reason to them. The last two times I went into labor I was pretty sick the two days prior.

Contractions HURT so most likely you will know if the BH start feeling like the real deal. Not just ouch pain but OUUUUCH pain lol really bad period cramps that will start off light but start hurting more and more and more til it's hard to move at all during them

With my first I just knew I was in labor. I had Braxton hicks contractions but there were never consistant or very painful. When labor started it was a dull back ache that no matter what position I moved to it wouldn't let up. Then it moved up my back and into my belly. I never got the hardening sensation though but I did feel a heavy pressure and a wave like feeling go from my belly button to my vagina every few minutes. That's how I knew. Every labor is different though. It's hard to tell from one person to the next how it will be or feel like. I have a high pain tolerance and was already having contractions every minute and 8 cm dilated before I went to the hospital. If I would have waited any longer I would have had my daughter in my bath tub lol

BH make my stomach tighten alot and I get hot & uncomfortable for like 40-50 seconds BH are also irregular im rhythm, real contractions usually start from ur back n travel to your front by ur belly button they r regular contractions when they occur. The further you get the stronger they will be and they get longer in length and shorter time in between contractions.. Real contractions are powerful you will feel the difference
