Anyone else hypothyroid?

I had my beta last Friday, and my HCG came back 252 (yay!).  However, I was also told that I am slightly hypothyroid (levels were 2.97; should be 2.5 or under). They put me on medication for it but with hypothyroidism comes a greater risk for miscarriage. This is our first baby after TTC for 2 years, so I’m a little nervous! I go back tomorrow to have my HCG levels checked again. Has anyone else experienced this and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

I have hypothyroid, it was actually part of the reason I wasnt getting pregnant. I'm currently 33 weeks with my first baby:)

Same here and I am 25 weeks today :)
If they put you on medication straight away then you will be fine.
The risk is there only if they leave it untreated xxx

I am very hypo.  Not a single miscarriage (the first pregnancy I was I medicated for the first 3 months).  Second pregnancy I was I medicated for the first month.     First baby was born perfect.  I’m 35w 5d with baby #2. Both healthy pregnancies.

Same thing happened to me! I am 5w4d. After my first beta they called a day later to tell me my thyroid level is a little high for pregnancy. I am a 3.5 and then want a 2.5. They said under 5 is fine for everyday but for pregnancy they want it lower so I am also on a med. I am hoping it lowers my number! They said pregnancy hormones can cause it to rise so fingers crossed my low dose will help! I am on 25mcg of levothroxine.

I have been hypothyroid for over ten years. Have three kids. Never had an issue. Then trying for our fourth. I had two losses before this pregnancy. My level got up to 6. With first. I thought it was my hashimotos that caused my loss. Your thyroid works hand in hand with your female hormones. After second loss we found out that my progesterone was very low. So I'm 7w5d with pregnancy 3 for 4 th baby. Going well. They upped my medicine by 25% immediately. Test it often. And I'm on progesterone supplements as well. Your Dr sounds like they are on it. The level you had isn't insane. My Dr likes it under3. So it could just be a personal preference for your Dr. It sounds like you have a great team. I would ask your Dr to add a progesterone check when you get your hcg done tomorrow. Good luck and sticky baby dust to you.
