Honest opinions needed!

Should I stop my husband from buying expensive things if he’s just going to keep losing them??

My husband is terrible when it comes to material things. He likes nice things, but doesn’t take care of them. Two years ago my husband brought an expensive Armani watch for almost $300. Six months later he took it off at someone’s house and couldn’t find it. He thinks it was stolen. I honestly blamed him for that because I don’t understand why he would take off a watch like in a house full of people. It was his responsibility. I eventually let it go because there was nothing we could do. Last year he brought a Micheal Kors watch that was almost $400. Again, around 8 months later he lost it, and once again had claimed someone stole it because he sat it down in a random place. At that point I was fed up and told him no more watches. Well, not even two weeks ago he brought $40 headphones, and guess what y’all...yup, he lost those now.

The problem is that I haven’t had a job in almost two years. I’ve been a sahm, but I will returning back to work part-time hopefully next week. He always buys me anything I want no matter the price, but I take care of my things. I haven’t lost anything. I KNOW IT IS HIS HARD EARNED MONEY, and I’m all for treating yourself, but this is getting ridiculous. At this point he’s wasting money.

He takes my opinions to heart, and I don’t want to sound mean or controlling, but something needs to be done.
