Cheyenne (“Cheya”) or Shya for baby girl?

I love the idea of Cheyenne and calling her “Cheya” (pronounced Shy-uh) for a nickname. We also like Shya (also pronounced Shy-uh) as a first name. So in the end we will call her the same thing. Just trying to decide which version/name to go with. What do you all think? Thanks!!

I never understood naming a child just so you could call them a nickname. I think Shya is cute and people would always pronounce it right as its pretty phonetic.

I love the name 😉😂 I've never had the nn Cheya and haven't heard it before! People always called me Chey or CheyChey. It's your choice but I agree with the other comment, Shya is a beautiful name too and if you want her to be called that, I'd just name her it! 😊
