First Time Mom! How Long?

This goes out to the mommies of babies who have already been born, lol. I’m looking at baby clothes and i’m not sure if i should get 3 months or newborn 🥴 how long did your bundles of joy stay in newborns clothing?

Really depends on your baby. My first was 7lbs3oz and she fit in newborn till about three months. My second was 8lbs15oz and fit in newborn for less than a week.

Definitely depends on the size of your baby. My oldest was nearly 7lbs at birth and was out of NB clothes within a few wks. I’d say somewhere before 8wks. He was in 0-3 month clothes for a really long time though. My youngest was born 3 wks early and weighed 6lbs. He’ll be 7wks tomorrow and still fits in his NB clothes, and 0-3 is huge on him. So each baby is different.

I think it depends on the size of your baby and the brand. My 3 week old fits new born clothes, but she also fits some of her 3 month old clothes already too. She was 8 lbs and 1 oz at birth and 20 inches long at birth.

My son was 9 lbs at birth (estimated to be 6 🙄) and never fit into newborn diapers or clothes. I would pick a few newborn sizes but but mainly 0-3 month.

My son skipped newborn sizes since he was over 11lbs at birth. He wore 0-3 and 3 months right away. By about 3 months old he was in 3-6 months.

Depends on the baby. My girl was estimated to be over 7 lbs when I was induced at 39+3 but she was born 6 lbs 4. She was in newborns for about 3 to 4 months. Now she's almost 1 (23 more days) she was 18 lbs at 9 months, I'd say she's closer to 20 lbs now. Getting ready to size up to size 3 diapers and shes just now into 9-12 month onesies and zip ups but shes still in 6-9 month pants because her legs are just not long enough lol.

I’d honestly go with 3 month sizes. All my girls were 6-8 pounds at birth and were in newborn sizes for about 2 weeks before we had to size up to 3 months.
