Sleep!?!?!

Britney

I need ideas on what to do with my LO. She went from being a great sleeper to forgetting what sleep is. At first it was just naps now it's even at night. The longest she will sleep is 2 to 3 hours. Sometimes she is up every hour. She was taking 3 naps and now is down to 2 30 minute naps. Grouchy baby and grouchy mom make life no fun for my 5 year old. I originally thought the not sleeping for naps was due to a mental leap cuz she learned so many things in a short time but it's been awhile and just getting worse. Help!!!!

Ps she is EFB and will not take a paci at all

Same here and I have a almost 5 year old too. He was a great sleeper u til a few weeks ago. I sum it up to a normal sleep regression, I hope this won’t last too much longer I neeeeed sleep lol

Same here. My daughter is waking up every couple hours from 7pm to 3am, and then she's up every hour or more. She wakes up crying too. I have no idea why. I wish I could help but just wanted to let you know you're not alone!

Glad to know it's not just my daughter

My son goes through these phases. I just ride them out when they happen. I also use a little bit of sleep training where I’ll let him fuss for awhile before getting him, a lot of times he will go back to sleep on his own. And after a couple of nights he’s back to sleeping all the way through again

I wish I knew what it was exactly. But thank you

I wonder if she’s teething or going through a growth spurt.. it should pass soon

Dang I have tried that and she wont calm down unless I pick her up. The few times she has just fussed I let her just fuss as long as possible but she ends up screaming. Especially if she sees me.

I know it's not for everyone, but we sleep trained my girl. She still has her off nights since we're trying you get her from 3 naps to 2, but she really only wakes up twice to eat. Maybe 3 times if we had a rough day

I used the ferber method. The checks were pretty stimulating though so extinction would have probably been fine for us too

What method of slee po training did you use?

No advice here because we are going through the same thing. It’s like having a newborn all over again. Two weeks ago she was sleeping 7-7 with one feed around 2am. Now she’s up every 2-3 hours and restless when she is sleeping. I have to keep giving her a binkie.

She never used a swaddle. Even in the hospital she would get so angry not being able to move

Oh man, that is rough. We stopped swaddling recently because she wasn’t sleeping well. It’s almost like she can’t get comfortable. Tired mommas and tired babies don’t mix well.

It's been almost 2 months that she's been not sleeping. Talk about rough especially when I'm the paci since she wont take one.

It’s probably a normal sleep regression. My daughter is 7 months and has always wakes up every 2-3 hours on a GOOD night. She can even wake up every 40 minutes on a bad night. Is your baby teething? If so, at night will be when it’s worse. Try Tylenol or gripe water.

No teething. I have tried both normal gripe water and the night time one to see if that helps but nope
