Does anyone help you at night with your baby? *if anyone has any advice..comment please*

I wish my fiancé would at least help on the weekends. If she slept longer stretches I wouldn't worry about it so much. I would get up and deal with it. But she wakes up 5 TIMES IN A NIGHT !! If she wakes up any less than that it's because she's been up for 6 hours. She's 7 weeks now but this has been going on for 2-3 weeks. All I wish is for him to at least ask me if I need a drink of water or if he could hold her for a little bit so I can get some rest. I feel like I haven't slept in weeks

My husband doesn't help, he PARENTS. Let me say this again since it's clearly confusing to some of you. YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER SHOULD BE PARENTING. He's not your helper. He absolutely should be getting up with you and taking care of his child just like you are. It's insane to me how many women in this app deal with such childish behavior. Why are you all having babies with children?! It's nuts to me. Your fiance needs to grow up and you need to be waking him up and telling him to get off his ass. This would never ever be acceptable in our home. My husband can come home from a 12-hour work shift (as a police officer) at 3 in the morning and the first thing he'll do is check on our daughter. If she's up for whatever reason, he'll take over and be a parent. It doesn't matter who works more or any other weird excuse you all have. It took two of you to make your baby. He needs to be parenting.

I’m not in a relationship so I did it all on my own and still do. However if you have a fiancée there’s no reason for you to be getting up alone. You guys are both parents, not just you. Let him know he needs to start helping out. If you don’t then you’re just allowing that behavior and you’ll be stuck on your own for good 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do it on my own, husband works graveyard shift, but I still watch her during the weekend. I’m attached to her & don’t ever let her leave my sight she has to be w in arms reach for me, I’m obsessed w her lol. (My daughter has slept throughout the whole night since the day she was born) Keep in mind I did deal w a colicky baby & she stopped at 4 mos but now at 6 almost 7 mos she’s teething like crazy so it’s back to crying a few hours a day.

I formula feed, and I choose to feed her in the middle of the night 90% of the time. I feel like I’m better/faster at it even though that’s probably no true. And she sleeps beside me. BUT my boyfriend is woken up every single time to go get me the bottle and warm it up for us. If I need more milk I ask him up again. This works for both of us. 🤷🏼‍♀️ if she wakes up super early in the morning and he knows I was up with her for a while during the night, he’ll get up with her and let me sleep uninterrupted.

Ask him for help😊 honestly I know how you feel and I’m sure many others do! I would wanna strangle my boyfriend when he wouldn’t help, I hated having to ask him because I just wish he would do it on his own, but they can’t read our minds. They’re new to this too so they’re still unsure on how to help.
My boyfriend helped out when I asked, a lot during the nights even though he worked long hours. (When she was under 3 months). Now that she’s 10 months he doesn’t help out at night, there’s no need to, she wakes up, I nurse her and she’s back to bed, not much he can do😂. 
It gets better though, just remember, men can’t read our minds, there’s no shame in asking for help with a diaper change, bottle, rock back to sleep or anything! Just ask😊

After she’s fed and changed, go wake him up and tell him it’s his turn to rock her while you get some sleep.  I mean, it sucks that he’s not offering or asking what he can do to help, but I don’t recommend suffering in silence. As far as I’m concerned, you already did like 100% of baby care during 9 months of pregnancy.  He has some catching up to do as far as putting in his 50% of parenting effort!

I did it all myseld but I wish my husband would have helped me...  My daughter  woke up 3-6 times a night until she was 8 months old and he only got up with her maybe 3 times. I was so sleep deprived. He had to work so I understand but he definitely should have done weekends with me. But in all fairness my daughter had colic and also she is just pretty difficult in general and would usually only sleep for me. It won't  last forever though.
