Piercings and labor?

Hey there, so im currently 28 weeks pregnant with baby #2 my first was a c section so this one will likely be one as well, my question is a few years after i had my daughter i got my septum pierced and its now healed and without any issues but im curious if I'll have to remove it or can i just flip it up during the c section.? Thanks !

Wow, things are so different in Australia. We don’t have to remove anything for a vaginal birth, but for elective c sections they are removed.

From my understanding you’ll need to remove all piercings for the surgery.

I had a vaginal delivery and I had to remove my septum and my tongue ring in case of an emergency C-section so I'm assuming you would have to remove yours

You’ll have to remove any piercings. With my first I had so many to remove, it was a pain. 4 lip piercings, 4 ear piercings, septum, and tongue. Thankfully it’s just my ears now😂 You can put them back in in recovery though
