Nursing or ultrasound?

I’ve been having a hard time deciding between pursuing a bachelors in nursing or to pursue a career in ultrasound. Does anyone from either of these fields have any comments (good and bad things, if you like it/ dislike it,etc). Thanks in advance!

I work as neither of these but I can tell you what I know based off of what research I’ve done on the topic. As a nurse, you will more than likely work 12 hour shifts, where as you likely won’t as an ultrasound tech. As a nurse you will take care of the patients more, whereas an ultrasound tech helps find what’s wrong (though they don’t voice it to the patient). You ultimately can’t go wrong either way. Those that I have known in both careers have loved it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Look into the programs in your area. I had an ultrasound done a few months ago and the tech told me that there are not a lot of programs in the country. Also look at the pre-reqs. If they're similar just take them and apply for both till you get into one.
