Night time troubles..
My sweet girl is 5 1/2 months currently and we are having a HARD time with sleep recently more than ever. Since day 1, she has coslept with us since i breastfeed and she almost always ends up in our bed to feed at 4-6am and we fall back asleep till 7/8am. She naps for maybe 45 minutes MAX at 9/9:30am,1130/12, 2-4pm and then bedtime bath starts at 630 and we try putting her down around 7/730. But she FIGHTS IT. We had complications during delivery and they had a foam board taped to her arm to keep the ivs still and thats the arm since day one she flails and waves and slaps while shes falling asleep. We swaddle 50/50 of the time because sometimes she fights it so hard she screams. She has absolute tantrums and freaks out when you try putting her to sleep. She can be so peacefully asleep then the second you set her down its full blown tantrum then pick her up and shes instantly back to sleep. We are at a huge loss at what to do because she never wants to stay asleep or go back to sleep yet shes so darn tired after EVERY nap and bedtime she cries for houuurs. Weve tried leaving the room, rocking, bouncing, everything. Shes still rubbing her eyes, zoned out and just plain exhausted. After about 3-4 hours of temper tantrum no matterwhat, i breastfeed her back to sleep finally giving up and most of the time it works. We put orajel on her gums and try the teething tablets and even give her tylenol but NOTHING helps. Any tips, tricks or suggestions to help some very very tired parents.
Side note**** our pediatrician has given us no answers or help whatsoever. Just "mustve been a gi bug" "im not sure, just keep trying". We are currently looking into a new one. Also, we are remodeling so unfortunately she has to be in our room until our upstairs is done.
**she also projectile vomited everywhere after baby oatmeal today. No temp or any other signs of illness aside from tired
