For about 10 years I had the Mirena IUD and didn’t have periods for the entire time. My husband and I decided we wanted to TTC in November, and I had the IUD removed. My first period came on January 22nd, lasted 5 days, and was the heaviest I’ve ever experienced. (NEEDED to change a super tampon every 2-3 hours.) Its now March 6 and I have yet to see another period, but have had a drastic increase in my unwanted facial hair, weight gain, and breast tenderness most days. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Will everything eventually even out? What is happening?!
