12 weeks

I’ve finally made it to 12 weeks, and today I heard my baby’s heartbeat for the first time.

It’s real. And my baby is alive! Baby’s heartbeat is incredibly strong, and according to the other noises in the Doppler, my Sticky baby is already very active. After 2 miscarriages, you’d think I’d be over the moon.

And I am.

But I bawled my eyes out while reading a book before my midwife came, and my husband completely blew off my joy at getting to this point safely.

And then to top it all, I broke my favorite mug today.

So basically it’s been a very emotional day, and I want to bawl my eyes out again.

Even my 3 and 5 year old kids were more thrilled than my husband.
