Pregnancy test hook effect????

Anyone ever heard of the hook effect? I’m 7 weeks pregnant today! And I noticed that my morning sickness had calmed down some. I had a miscarriage last October and never paid attention to my symptoms disappearing. Well I got a wild hair up my tail to test (shouldn’t have)!! Well test line last night was lighter than the control line and I freaked out!!! I thought for sure I was having another miscarriage. So I started googling and come across the hook effect. Supposedly after you’re so far along you’re not supposed to use a pregnancy test because you will have such hormones that the test kind of freaks out and doesn’t know what to do and it just shoots out a random reading. So if you water your pee down half pee and half water you’re supposed to get a more accurate reading meaning the test line will be darker than the control line. It worked 100% on me! I went and bought another test this morning to test the theory my water down pee The test line is darker than the control line again. I would like your ladies thoughts and have you tried this yourself? The lighter test was from last night 100% pee at seven weeks pregnant...The darker test was third pee this morning 1/2 pee 1/2 water.
