Marriage counseling

My husband recently told me he doesn’t know what love is anymore, doesn’t know if he’s capable of love, and he thinks divorce is the inevitable. We both get mean when we argue we’ve always been this way and he thinks that’s not what love is and we should split. I wanna suggest marriage counseling but idk if it will even help us. I love him so much. We’ve been through so much I was cheated on from a previous relationship, so was he. He adopted my child there’s just so much to our story. We’ve been together for 6 years and I’m not ready to give up. Please let me hear some success stories. I don’t want to lose my husband
