Is it possible that a condom can break or tear without the guy being aware of it? I’m curious

Yes, especially because some condoms have “numbing” lube to make the guy last longer

Yes it’s happened to me, I found a piece of the condom inside me the next day and he had no idea it had broken.

Not really to be honest. You can have a tiny hole of perforation which may not be detected during, but would likely make itself known after the fact by leaking, but this isn’t something that happens naturally.
A condom ripping / tearing / breaking is pretty obvious, especially to the guy.
