Do you burp your baby after night feed?

My daughter will fall asleep while feeding and i dont want to wake her up to burp her but im also scared she will spit up and choke😭 what do y’all do??

If I don’t get a burp my son, he will wake up  from spitting up or the gas will build in his belly and he’ll be harder to settle later.

I don’t burp. I haven’t for a while. My son always seems to burp himself lol after he eats I put him up right and he lets out a big belch and sometimes even farts also haha maybe it’s a boy thing

No I don’t if I put him up on my shoulder and he falls right asleep I don’t bother through the night . He just farts it out through his sleep . When he was around 2-2 1/2 months old no , I would always especially through the night . But now that he’s getting older if he has son gas it doesn’t hurt him . Of course if it’s bugging him and he’s moving around I’ll get it out

Not usually unless he starts getting squirmy and I know he needs a burp assist. Sometimes he doesn't need it at all after a feeding. Sometimes he actually burps by himself.

We try but if she’s sleeping she will NOT burp haha and she usually falls right asleep when she finishes her bottle at night time

I hardly ever burp my son anymore, definitely not if he has fallen asleep. I used to burp him after every feeding and before long he wasn’t burping even if I tried. So now I only do it if he seems to need it. 
Babies who are breastfeeding (straight from the breast, not breastmilk in a bottle) often don’t need to burp because they don't swallow as much air when feeding as bottle-fed babies do, so they don't really need help getting air out.

I was told by my doc that, as long as they sleep on their back, babies will always turn their head to the side to clear out spit up, even if they're sleeping. The chances of them choking are very minimal. I would ask your doc too!
