Late on monthly visit

was late on my period, We’ve been trying to conceive.So took a pregnancy test came out positive.But a 4 days later started spotting today it wasn’t just spotting it was bright red😭My partner is out of town.Im going to the doctors in the morning.,..could it be a miscarriage?We were so excited about having one.I pray to god that everything is going to b ok I don’t know how to tell him if we lose him or her
