Induction question?

So I am 40 weeks today. Baby is so comfy in there and don’t want to come out. My ob scheduled induction for me Thursday night. I am 1cm and 50%effaced. She told me that they insert something in my vagina and watch it overnight and next morning she will do something else if I don’t progress. I don’t know what name she took like what they are going to insert. Did this happened to anybody as a induction method? Any experience please comment.
