Anyone else?

I recently had some tests done to see why I'm bleeding so much throughout my cycle. The sonogram showed my uterine lining was too thick, which means I'm not shedding it during my period like I should. The doctor said my blood work came back normal (though I'm thinking of asking to have my progesterone retested after I've ovulated), has anyone else ever experienced this before? Did it make conceiving more difficult? What was the outcome?

Sorry for all the questions, but she wants me to preform one of two procedures to fix it, and that scares me.
