How many weeks do you have to be for the doctor to tell you your gender?

10 weeks for NIPT (blood) test and 20 weeks for anatomy (ultrasound) scan. The blood test is more accurate as it picks up on whether or not there are Y chromosomes in your blood.

Usually they tell you “officially” around 20 weeks but sometimes they know sooner. You can always pay to have the SneakPeek blood work and you can find out as early as 9 weeks
