“You’re buying a test at the DOLLAR STORE??”

So a couple of days ago I went to the Dollar Tree to grab some tests, because dang, testing every day can get expensive for a serial tester 😂 I grabbed about 6 of them and placed them on the belt to check out. The guy in front of me then proceeds to say, at what feels like full volume, “Wow, if there’s one thing you don’t buy at the dollar store it’s pregnancy tests!” 🙈 So I said “Haha, thanks, I think I’m good” at which point he continues, coming up with scenarios of telling your spouse you’re pregnant and then it’s wrong because you got the test at the DOLLAR STORE. The lady in front him (God bless her) says “You know those tests are actually really accurate”, and again he goes off “Well I just wouldn’t count on those, I mean if there’s anything you don’t buy at the Dollar store it’s pregnancy tests”. So I say “That’s ok, they’re pretty accurate and I’m fine with using them so it’s all good”. Would you believe this guy kept going!

I told my husband about it and I was surprised to find that he was actually furious, knowing the struggles we are having with getting pregnant and how hard it’s been on me the last couple of months. But other people who haven’t experienced trying for a baby and it taking a really long time with no success, they don’t realize what we are struggling with, so you can’t blame them too much for speaking without thinking
