I caused my mom to crash her car! 🤦‍♀️

I caused my mom to crash her car when I told her I was pregnant. I find her busted headlight absolutely hilarious, considering she ripped the door panel off of my first car and I'm constantly lecturing her on not using her phone while driving 🙄

We've always had a rocky relationship, especially when it comes to my chronic illnesses and now she's my boss, which has made it all worse. I've missed a lot of work due to extreme morning sickness and my hip surgery a few months ago, which lead to a massive fight and my hormonal ass screaming "leave me alone, I'm pregnant and sick" over the phone.

We have not talked in a week, my husband has covered my shifts at the bakery while I impatiently waited for medicaid to cover my zofran. I was feeling decent enough to go in last night, but dreaded seeing her. We've been fighting for months about how much work I missed after having my hip reconstructed and I assumed that she would be LIVID about a pregnancy and having to take maternity leave as I am her only employee. Lucky for me, my step dad and husband were able to soften her up a bit. As I was in the bathroom hugging the toilet, she brought up a little present and apologized for the screaming match. She's still mad about her car and how I told her (I had no clue she was driving at the time) and is pretty stressed out about my upcoming leave, but I think this is a good start to her new Grandma title 😍

**I shared this story because it was a cute and funny look into my slightly dysfunctional but loving family, not to be shamed about a medicine that has been proven safe. Just in case you missed the part about extreme sickness, I'm 5'4" and dropped to 99lbs. I have a milder case of HG but it's still a very crippling diagnosis. Unless you have suffered with HG, do not comment on how I am treating it.
