Should I be concerned?

The last month, my armpits have been really really itchy. I’ve been using the same deodorant that I’ve been using for years. I blew it off and figured it’s either dry skin from the winter, or yeast that I read could build up in folds of skin. This weekend I noticed a small faint red/purplish spot by my areola. It’s not bigger than a finger print. When I noticed it I thought it was a bruise, but didn’t know how I would have gotten it. Of course I looked it up on the internet and the first thing was inflammatory breast cancer. I have been getting pore like dimples more so on that side (left breast) and it feels heavier than usual now that I think about it. Is it worth a trip to the doctor or should I wait it out since the discolored spot is small?
