High prolactin levels. So upset and confused!

K

Just found out today my pcos bloodwork looked alright except I have high prolactin levels at 47. The only symptom I have of pcos is irregular periods. Ultrasound was also clear. Testosterone was 12, a1c was 4.2, LH was 8.5, and fsh 8.0. Do you think this is enough to give me pcos diagnosis? My theory is I do not have pcos and I have hyperprolactinemia that’s causing my irregular periods. I’m just so upset and confused! Dr. Wants prolactin retested cd 21 with my progesterone test. How can I have pcos with just this diagnosis?! They want me to start clomid when I may just need a prolactin reducer! Ugh! Any info helps...
