Did you gain weight during IVF?

Did you gain weight during your cycle? Or did you lose weight? If so could you comment how much gained or lost and what your experience was? My doctor asked me to lose ten pounds before we start.. I am wondering if I should expect to gain during the process as well ...

I gained about 10-15 pounds over the course of a year. I did one stim cycle and multiple transfers, which involved progesterone and estrogen. I think it was part hormones and part emotional.

I gained about 4 lbs. like others I’m attributing it to emotional eating combined with not being able to exercise, which I usually do 4-5 days a week. I was definitely super bloated during the stim and for a week after retrieval.

I have gained about 5-7ish pounds over the past six months of fertility treatments. I don’t attribute the weight gain necessarily with ivf but with not being able to workout. I usually workout vigorously a few times a week. The ivf meds did make me a bit bloated.

No weight gain. I’m also doing acupuncture and supposedly that is supposed to help. I had no bloating.

Yes! 15-20lbs since October.  I think it’s a mix of the emotional side of the journey, not being able to work out while stimming and all of the medications. But everyone is different, some don’t gain at all.

My doctor had me follow a strict Mediterranean diet with no simple carbs for my stims to improve egg quality. I definitely bloated and gained weight during the stim cycle, but now about a week after egg retrieval I’m actually down a couple of pounds.

Yes, i gained 5 kgs since January,  since the stimming and ER cycle. Its probably due to hormonal eating... And the medicines.

I gained like 4-5 lbs each time, but I am sure at least half was just water. So there was no need for a diet or anything afterwards.
