Why is everyone being induced so “early”?

I’ve never known anyone to have to be induced until ...almost everyone in this group.... it seems. None of my family or friends or friends of friends.

My OB asked if I wanted to be induced at 39 weeks... and when I said no thanks she said at 39 weeks we’d talk about induction at 40 weeks! Uhhh

My coworker agreed to be induced at 40’weeks and it didn’t take so she had to go in AGAIN at 41 weeks and ended up with a c section.... she could’ve gone naturally at 41w1d 🤷🏼‍♀️
