Psychology or dental assistant

I’ve always wanted to be a counselor or dental assistant. was wondering is the pay good for either of them. I hear mixed reviews that a counselor only makes good money if they have their own business and dental assistant doesn’t make much at all. I’m a CNA and love helping people but you really make shit pay.. i make around 12-15 an hour.. i can’t even afford an apartment with that pay. So I’m looking to go to school for something i can actually support myself and my daughter!! Any advice I’d love :)
