Am I too old???

So I’m a little overweight and I’m turning 39 this year...partner and I been bouncing another baby back and forth. Should I go for it or am I to old? Worried about the toll on my body (had 4 kids) and I’m already overweight a little and I’ve heard  there is more risk to baby over 35. Plus there are a lot of judgy people out there

If you worry about how your body will handle a fifth pregnancy; talk to your doctor. “Too old” is a silly phrase. I’m 32 going on 33. Apparently, I’m “old.” People don’t really know anything. The human body is a mystery. It’s your body that matters. Ask yourself: Do I want a pregnancy or do I want a baby? Adoption is always an option. If my husband and I fail, that will be my next choice. I just want to be a mom.
Look at your life right now. Get to a healthy weight, work on cutting any habits that could effect you. Watch your stress levels. Maybe make a baby plan together. Check insurance, make sure they will cover you Incase something did happen. You obviously are a strong woman with four kids. At the end, you are a five star mom.

If you want another then go for it and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks! I’m 38 and trying for a 4th. My kids are 17, 16, (from a  previous marriage) and 17 months.

You’ll have to undergo more testing and be considered “high-risk” (anyone 35 and over is considered that) but if you have the love, time and the financial means to support another baby, then go for it!
