What to expect?

What should my husband and I expect for our first RE specialist appointment? I'm so impatient and just want someone to actually help us to get pregnant... waiting over 2 years to start our family and still no obgyn seems to want to help us out so I gave in and found an RE/OBGYN who is going to see me but we didn't get briefed on what will happen.

For me I did a lot of paperwork and they did a transvaginal ultrasound. Then ordered a bunch of labs to be done throughout my cycle. Luckily I started af the next day so I didn't have to wait too long. I had blood work done 2 times to get baseline hormone levels, my dearest had a semen analysis then we came back a few days before I was due for af again. Everything came back normal for us, so my doctor prescribed me clomid to help egg quality. I was so nervous too, and the first visit took about an hour. 🍀 ✨ ✨ ✨

The one thing I would say is definitely make sure you feel comfortable with the RE and the fertility clinic. My husband and I wasted 6 months with an RE that we never quite felt comfortable with. We always felt rushed and like the RE wasn't looking at my particular case of infertility. It was a horrible fit, and I never felt like my questions were answered and I was always extremely stressed, but the clinic came highly recommended, so we kept hoping it would get better. When it came down to it, I knew I didn't want to be stressed or worried going through IVF, so I found another RE and fertility clinic that is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I are both thrilled with the new doctor, and we can't believe we wasted so much time, money, and stress on the other RE. it is your body, and your fertility journey, so just make sure you feel comfortable with your RE and clinic :) it might be an inconvenience to meet different doctors, but it could make a huge difference!
