Serious but weird question!

So I am 31 weeks pregnant and I am spotting my ob stay they needed to know if spotting happen and I plan to call first thing in the morning!

I don’t want to panic because I am not sure if I am spotting from the vagina or from the rear area! I know it sounds strange but I went number two and it started and I don’t want to rush a hour and half away to be checked for nothing but also don’t wanna miss important signs! Advice?
