Birth story ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ’• (kind of long)

Maria โ€ข Married ๐Ÿ’ young mom of ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’•

I was set to be induced this morning at 4:30. When I got here my husband and I were put in a room and asked typical questions and I got blood work done.

Then what I was dreading the most... the IV. Iโ€™m not exaggerating when I say that it took 10 pokes to get an IV in because my veins are STUPID. They ended up putting me 2 IVโ€™s Incase one of them blew. So in reality I got poked 12 times. Im currently VERY VERY bruised up and down both arms from all the pokes. By far the worst experience ever. But no ones fault thatโ€™s just how my veins are ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

After that horrendous experience my doctor came in (it was 6:30am by this time) she broke my water and said I was 4cm dilated and that baby should be here around lunch. (This being baby #3). She also started pitocin.

I was excited and eager to meet my little girl. As the hours went by I got an epidural and would fall asleep here and there. The only bad thing was my nurse kept flipping me from my left side to my right then back again. She did this every 10 minutes. Eventually I was a 6cm around 12. This is also the time my epidural wore off and I could feel my contractions. The only thing is they didnโ€™t feel like contractions they felt like pain in my vagina. I just dismissed them and told the nurse but we didnโ€™t do anything about them.

THENNN I start feeling more pain and pressure. Like I needed to poop. The time was 1:30ish so I didnโ€™t think I was ready to push yet. The pains were horrible and I decided to call the nurse to check me and up my epidural. WELP I wasnโ€™t even a 10 she was halfway out of my vagina.

Everyone started coming in while I did I believe one practice push WHILE IN SO MUCH PAIN and they told me to stop pushing (which was so hard) because she was right there. My doctor came in and 3 BIG pushes later she was here. No tears so no stitches which was amazing.

My husband was so wonderful through all this ESPECIALLY the end when I was pushing. He really helped me calm down and get through the pain. I really couldnโ€™t have asked for anyone better to be with me in the room.

Right now Iโ€™m in recovery not much bleeding, but Jesus Christ the contractions that you get after are so damn painful. I want to just curl up in a ball and cry. Just hoping they go away soon ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ
