I just want to make sure I’m not overreacting to this situation.

I picked up my daughter yesterday from daycare, and the teacher stopped me and let me know that another kid bit her... in the face.

She has a pretty sizable bruise with bite marks all over her cheek from it.

For the last couple weeks, they let me know that there has been one little boy in particular that has been picking on her. Pushing her down, hitting her, pulling her hair etc. this was just the cherry on top.

I called the director today to ask what their plan going forward was to prevent this behavior, because I can’t have her getting hurt. The director told me that they’re going to try to keep them separated, but in the same room. And when there’s a problem, they’ll put her with the babies because she’s the only toddler in the room that is nice to them.

I want to switch daycares as this response is not acceptable to me and really unfair for my daughter.

Am I out of line here?
