Breastfeeding works, pumping does not
Anyone else struggle with pumping?
I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding my 5-week old and she’s been thriving. She’s has plenty of dirty diapers, is growing, and only fusses when she has gas.
I tried pumping because I will be returning to work and I can barely produce an ounce after 15 mins. Today I tried both sides and barely covered the bottom of the bottle. A friend who is a lactation consultant said that some women just don’t respond to pumping..
I guess I have to introduce her to formula before going to daycare because Fed is Best. But it’s hard because I can feed her. I just can’t plan ahead to feed her.
I’ve made lactation cookies today and massage before pumping so hoping I increase my supply.
