When did your OHSS symptoms start?

Hi all,
Had egg retrieval yesterday and out of 49 follicles they got 24 eggs. I felt fine leaving and only symptoms last night were light cramping and heartburn. This afternoon I feel constipated, bloated, and crampy, and my weight is up 2.5lbs from yesterday (before the surgery). I’m not sure if it is OHSS or not but was told I was at high risk for it. Is it normal to feel worse as time passes? When did your OHSS symptoms start?

Hi Lindsey! I felt the worst 3-4 days after, it was extremely uncomfortable to urinate. I would call your doctor to address the 2.5 lbs because you might be getting the onset of OHSS. Drink lots of electrolytes and salt. Salty broth or soup and take a mild laxative like colase to help you have a bowel movement. If your symptoms worsen definitely give them a call, but I would reach out now when it’s beginning;  better to ask before than have a horrible night if you don’t have to :).
