Does anyone else have problems with their mother in law talking shit behind your back to your husband? I just found out for the second time during our 2 year marriage, that my mother in law was criticizing me and the fact that my son who is 3 days shy of 7 months old can’t sit up on his own and can’t crawl yet. Also, apparently he’s malnourished because he doesn’t meet her chubby expectations and she has a problem with me pulling a face when she does something or proposes something I don’t like.

She had 5 children of her own and although my son is her first grandchild, he’s also my first baby. My husband is fully supportive of me and how I’m raising our child because his mother traumatized them but it seems like she just doesn’t get it.

It makes me sad that she is two faced with me and doesn’t respect me as a mother, where as my mother is the polar opposite and continues to support me and tell me I’m a wonderful mother and I’m doing all the right things.
