Good time to tell?

What is the best time to tell the big news to family and friends? I'm due in April of 2016... And I see all these girls posting "announcement" pictures. Isn't 8 wks too soon to tell?

I decided to tell as soon as I found out because IF something were to happen , I would want support. I wouldn't want to be grieving in silence and have people wondering why I'm sad.

It is a personal decision. If you think you would be OK with everyone asking you if you sadly have a m/c then you can tell whenever you want, whomever you want.

I am only telling close friends and family because I would rather not have to explain to all people if something goes wrong. Just family and close friends.

Plus I cannot deal with people telling what I should or should not do now that I am pregnant or horror stories. I don't mind postponing that ordeal.

I'm 8 weeks and I have only told my children. But my mom called me the other night and said I know you're pregnant. Because every time you get pregnant I get the symptoms and I've been feeling sick.. So I had to tell her lol

We too are waiting until after the 12 week mark. Only our parents know. As hard as it is not to tell i think before 12 weeks is too risky.

We are waiting until I'm past 12 weeks. Both our parents know but that's all. We will tell other family & friends when we get back from our holiday in October, I'll be around 13 weeks then :)

We have told our immediate families and a couple of close friends. We are waiting until after our first dr appt and ultrasound to tell the world. I'll be 8+5 at my first dr appt. my doctor told me that your miscarriage chance goes down to 1-3% after you see/hear the heartbeat so I think we will be safe to tell then. We did the same thing with our first pregnancy.

Close friends and family have known since we found out. We are telling my work family (the whole salon) tomorrow at the annual beach party (almost 11 weeks). And we will take pics on the beach and write in the sand and use those photos to announce to FB the following week (12 weeks)!
