Working after Maternity Leave

Okay so ive weighed a bunch of options for after my maternity leave. Im not gonna be able to be a stay at home mom for a long while and it kills me... I have to go back to work but im not gonna trust ANYBODY enough around where I live to care for Declan while he's still so little. The only thing I can think of is me taking on a weekend or overnight job so my boyfriend can care for him while he's off and im at work. Im looking into a possible DC job working 12 hour shifts friday-sunday but I feel like I may not be able to handle that so close after giving birth. I will be taking whatever time off I need, but this is my first and im not sure what ill be able to handle...
