Did your doctor test you for hiv?

Its mandatory where I live ... but why wouldnt you want to get tested for it ??? .. kindda immature if you dont putting the babies life at risk for nothing !

My doctor did an obstetric panel which included an HIV test.  For my safety, baby’s safety, and the safety of anyone involved with the delivery of my baby, it only made sense 🤷‍♀️ I can’t imagine why someone would want to opt out.

I’m sure you can opt out but why would you? Any STIs you may have can be passed onto your unborn baby especially with a vaginal delivery. And if you end up being positive there are medications and steps you need to take to ensure a healthy pregnancy

It’s part of the normal prenatal labs that you get done. You can refuse it but why would you want to? 😑

Mandatory, and although there are precautions drs and nurses should be taking it’s not all about you when it comes to this as they have the right to know and be better protected if you were to be positive (not saying you are)

They tested for that and syphilis. The only 2 they test for. All the others I was tested for before i found out I was oregnant at a yearly checkup... I'm sure you cant opt out but why not get them done for piece of mind.
