Crush help

So I’ve really liked this guy for like 6 months now and I thought he liked me back and we used to talk a bit in a class, but ever since winter break, I’ve barely talked to him. We still have a class together and he sits by one of my guy friends. I try to talk to him through my guy friends. My crush doesn’t have insta or snap, and only has Twitter:/. I do know some people who have his actual number. Also, in a speech at the beginning of the year he said he’d never get a gf.... I sound like such a fool. Should I just try to move on, or make an effort to become friends?
