Azoospermia

Hi all!

My husband and I just found out through a fertility specialist sperm test that he has ZERO sperm in his semen.

We got my husband's genetics testing back today and everything was normal! This gives us hope that the problem is a blockage. The doctor made it seem like if genetics test was normal that a blockage is probably the issue. He is scheduled for a biopsy in May.

So this might be a stupid question, but will the biopsy be able to tell if there is a blockage or is the purpose of the biopsy to see if there is any sperm?

For those of you with experience, what were the next steps for you? If there was a blockage present was it repaired or did you just go straight for IVF once they found sperm?
