Did you have a big baby? Were you told you would have a big baby and didn’t?

If so, how big was your baby? Did you have a vaginal delivery? Did you have any complications?

I was told my baby would be above 10lbs and come several weeks early.
He came one day before he was due at 8lbs. 😊

Yes. And so did my friend. We are both tall, I'm 5'8", she's maybe 5'10". My babies were measuring at least 8lbs around 36 weeks. Both my babies were born at 38w & 39w, both weighing exactly 7lb 1oz. My friend's baby was measuring closer to 10lbs! She ended up only being barely 8lbs. She was just a long baby.

It doesn’t really matter much how big your baby is. My hospital said there’s no link to larger babies (within the normal weight range that is) being any harder to deliver than small ones. Its a myth. I even know someone who had a hard labour with a very small baby and then an easy one with her large baby. Don’t focus on the weight, so long as they’re in the healthy range, it doesn’t matter :) x

I was told my son would be 9+ lbs. he was born 2 days before his due date, and only 7lb4oz

My first was a girl she was 9lb 2oz.. my doctor actually underestimated her weight to be 8lb 5oz.. she was also long 22" and was vaginal birth. She was 7 days over due.. but no complications, just very long labor... extremely long birthing and the cuts made to get her out....

I was told I would have a big baby and she was born vaginally over 4 weeks early.  At 35+5 she was 6 lbs 14 oz.  the doctor said if she would have come when she was supposed to, she would have been 10-11 lbs.
On the flip side, my other daughter, they wanted to induce early because they said she was very large and I had mild preeclampsia.  At almost 38 weeks they guessed her size at 8 1/2-9 1/2lbs so they didn’t want me to go any further.  When she was born just a few days later, she was only 6 1/2 lbs.  looking back, I think her skull size probably threw them off on the ultrasound.  She was born with a 15 1/2 inch head and she was tall at 21 inches long.  She was a skinny newborn with a big head 😂

I had big babies, all vaginally, no drugs, no stitches. I absolutely refuse to consider an epidural. 
My first was 7lb 4oz (not big) 
Two babies were 8lb 10oz, and two were 8lb 11oz. One was 9lb 11.5oz (she was #3), and my lady was 9lb 2oz. 
I laboured with all of them in either the tub or shower, which was so good for the pain and helped the perineal tissues stretch without tearing.
